Nanbaka (2016)

1 - Nanbaka Is a Comedy Anime.

Jyugo makes a routinely escape attempt and is caught by Hajime while hes napping in the Guards room with Kuu. All the inmates and guards seem to be going through a typical and ordinary day, much to the chagrin of Mitsuru Hitokoe, who wants something exciting to happen during Part 2 of the anime.

1 - Idiots With Numbers!

Jyugo, Uno, Nico and Rock make an attempt to escape, only to get caught by Hajime Sugoroku. The group later spends some time bugging Hajime and indulging in idle chat. The Warden, Momoko Hyakushiki, returns and discusses Jyugo with Hajime, telling him not to underestimate him.

2 - Super Hitoshi-kun

Hitoshi Sugoroku starts working as a Nanba Prison guard, much to Hajimes surprise. Uno and Rock dont believe that the kind and cute Hitoshi is the little brother of the vicious gorilla Hajime and try to disprove that theyre siblings by testing Hitoshis abilities as they escape.

2 - The Inmates Are Stupid! The Guards Are Kind of Stupid, Too!

Hajime Sugoroku discusses the backstories of the four inmates of Cell 13 with the Warden.

3 - The Traitorous Building 5

Rock challenges Samon Gokuu to test his strength and is defeated with little effort. The Warden leaves to attend a meeting at the Police Department HQ. Seitarou Tanabata has difficulty dealing with Cell 13 due to their persistent bullying and appeals to Hajime Sugoroku for help. Jyugo is saved by Tsukumo from an out-of-control Rock. Meanwhile, Hajime deals with Yamato, whos in the same state as Rock. 4 - Happy New Year! The New Year;s Tournament Is Where We Get Serious!

The New Years Tournament kicks off, with Building 13s Cell 13 being chosen as one of the participates. The first round includes all guards and inmates, the second has Yamato Godai and Rock team up while Seitarou Tanabata and Uno team up for Round 3.

5 - You Are Weak

Jyugo, Uno, and Nico wind up in an underground cell that happens to be holding Upa and Liang. The two inmates from Building 5 inform the trio that Building 5 has been compromised by the former Nanba supervisor, now inmate, Enki Gokuu. The five inmates escape their cell, thanks to Jyugo, and head off

5 - A Fraud and a Hero

Uno continues his match against Honey and Trois and ultimately wins. Hajime Sugoroku and Nico face against Samon Gokuu, Qi and Upa in the following Spinning-top round.

6 - One;s Own Freedom

The team of inmates retreat into an abandoned office where Jyugo discovers confidential inmate files about himself. As they advance, they Liang and Upa send them ahead and stay behind to fight a possessed Rokuriki before being confronted by their former boss, Hachiman.

6 - The Booster Episode

The final match of the New Years Tournament begins; Kenshirou Yozakura & Musashi vs. Hajime Sugoroku & Jyugo. Hajime seems to be doing fine with his match, but Jyugo ends up in a bit of trouble against his opponent, whom he seems to have some history with.

7 - A Fool

The fight between Liang and Upa against Hachiman continues. Nico shows up out of nowhere and greets Upa, moved by his last line in the previous episode. Qi recalls events from his past when he joined up with Hachiman. Nico intervenes in the fight to save Upa, meanwhile, Uno freaks out about how they

7 - It;s a Surprisingly Sad Story

Sometime before the second round of the New Years Tournament, Tsukumo is visited by Hanzou Hattori. During the visit, Tsukumos past is revealed.

8 - Awakening Poison

Uno explains to Honey and Trois that when Nicos medicine wears off he goes out of control. As Nicos alternate persona awakens, he fights Hachiman. In the meantime, Liang and Upa restrain Daisen Rokuriki and destroy his talisman. Qi interrupts the fight and while Nico attacks him, he injects Nico wit

8 - A Monster and a Gorilla

The battle between Jyugo and Musashi continues on as Jyugo goes berserk and lets loose his power after hearing Musashi mention the man that placed the shackles on him. The Warden orders the guards, Hajime Sugoroku, Kenshirou Yozakura, Samon Gokuu, and Kiji Mitsuba, to contain the two inmates.

9 - Washed Away...

Upa wonders if someone other than Enki is involved in the situation. Meanwhile, Jyugo and his group reach level 2 where they are confronted with numerous Jiang-Shi dolls. 9 - You;re Empty!

Hajime arrives back after his three day suspension. Jyugo and Musashi, while locked away in underground chambers, are allowed by Hajime and Kenshirou to communicate with each other via handheld transceivers. Musashi sheds some light on the Man with the Scar to Jyugo.

10 - Sound and Words

Jyugo has been captured by Ruka Gojou, but is saved by surprise attack from Trois. Honey gets frustrated with Jyugos uselessness and wants to leave him behind. 10 - A Melancholy Day for the Dog, Monkey, and Pheasant

While Hajime is on his three day suspension, Kenshirou Yozakura, Kiji Mitsuba, and Samon Gokuu take turns each day to supervise Building 13. Jyugo finally returns to Cell 13 and apologizes to them for all hes hidden from them.

11 - Move Forward!

As Ruka begins to fight seriously, Trois and Honey pursuade Uno and Jyugo to go ahead while they continue fighting but Jyugo eventually returns and defeats Ruka with his blades. Kokoriki and Youriki later arrive and try to arrest the escaped inmates. As they escape, Uno, Honey and Trois come up with

11 - We Got Our Rewards

The stone oven that Rock wanted, for Building 13 winning the New Years Tournament, is finally installed. Nico also gets a game room.

12 - Sarabaka

Enki realises the prisoners have escaped as Mitsuru and Kenshirou begin questioning the situation. Meanwhile, Trois and Honey free Kiji who takes care of Daisen Kokoriki and Daisen Youriki before defeating Ruka. Jyugo finally finds Hajime before freeing him and Samon from their cells. Musashi discusses more of his past prior to meeting the Scarred Guard with Kenshirou Yozakura.
